Before you start running your campaign, you need a list of people to reach. That’s where we will use a search. Searches (imports) are used to add people to your Icereach account. You can choose from using multiple search types, which we list below.

Let’s create a new search.

  1. Go to searches and click on Create search.
  2. Choose search type and see the instruction for the selected type below.

The basic search simply imitates LinkedIn search. You need to search for a keyword on the LinkedIn website and copy-paste the URL of your search onto Icereach. After you add the LinkedIn search and our system processes it in the background, up to 1000 people will be imported in your account.

Import Google Sheets

A Google Sheet is an online free spreadsheet program similar to Microsoft Excel. You can use it to collect a list of people yourself or as an export from a lead collection tool. Each row should contain an information you need for a prospect you want to connect with or message such as first and last name, email, phone number, company name, address, LinkedIn URL and others. Your Google Sheet should always include a URL to a user’s LinkedIn profile named as profile_url.

See an example below:

Add Google Sheet to Icereach

Once you filled your spreadsheet with prospects, you need to change visibility rights to enable Icereach to read it.

  1. Click on Share in the top-right corner of your spreadsheet.
  2. Set your cursor to the input field Add people and groups and copy-paste the following email account into it: [email protected]
  3. Select the shown email account and click on Send
  4. Next, click on the Copy link button.
  5. Go back to the new search dialog and paste the copied link to your Google sheet to the input field. Don’t forget to name your search.

In case the Google Sheet fails to process, you can try the second option:

  1. Click on Share in the top-right corner of your spreadsheet.
  2. Wait for the dialog window to pop-up and select the Change to anyone with the link button
  3. Copy the link by clicking on Copy link and close the window.
  4. Go back to the new search dialog and paste the copied link to your Google sheet to the input field. Don’t forget to name your search.
